Criminal record certificate / Police clearance certificate Romania - ONLINE REQUEST

We can help you obtain your criminal record certificate in Romania in the shortest possible time. The whole procedure by which you authorize us to apply for and obtain your criminal record certificate in Romania is carried out exclusively remotely (by communicating with you by e-mail and/or Whatsapp), so that you save time and do not have to make unnecessary trips.

We will handle for you the whole procedure of applying for and obtaining the criminal record certificate from the competent authority in Romania. To this end, the person empowered by you (the lawyer) will go to the police station and, on the basis of the authorization received from you, we will apply for and obtain your criminal record certificate, which will be issued in physical form, at the counter.

Therefore, the criminal record certificate is not issued in electronic format (it will not have an electronic signature), but it will be issued in printed format, on paper, in Romanian language, with a handwritten signature and the ink stamp of the issuing authority (Ministry of Internal Affairs – General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police).

In addition, once the criminal record certificate is obtained, we can carry out the following procedures, depending on your needs and requirements:

- we can apply for and obtain the Hague Apostille on the criminal record certificate (if the country in which you are going to use the criminal record certificate is a member country of the Hague Convention and you are required to have the Apostille affixed on the criminal record certificate).

- we can take care of the consular legalization of the criminal record certificate (if the country in which you are going to use the criminal record certificate is not a member country of the Hague Convention). The consular legalization procedure is more complex and involves obtaining several stamps from institutions such as the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy, etc. 

- we can take care of the translation of the criminal record certificate – translation made by translators authorized by the Ministry of Justice of Romania, notarization of the translation and obtaining the Hague Apostille on the notarized translation or consular legalization of the translation, depending on your needs and requirements.

The criminal record certificate obtained (with the Hague Apostille affixed) and the legalized translation (with apostille or consular legalization, if applicable) can be sent by courier to the address (in Romania or abroad) that you will indicate.
